Henriqueta (Henri) Guagliano
Volunteer Coordinator
Henri was born on January 10 1960 in Portugal and migrated to Canada in 1973. Henri has lived in Hamilton ever since. Graduating from Sir John A Macdonald High School with the class’ Citizenship Award. Henri started working at RBC Royal Bank as a teller. She continued her education as a part time student and with continuous learning through the Institute of Canadian Bankers, she has increased her role with RBC in various positions. Henri is a Financial Planner with RBC Wealth Management. She is married and is a proud mother of two boys.
Community: Henri has been a volunteer in the Hamilton Community for over 10 years. She is a big sister to a twelve year old girl, through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton, has mentored an elementary school student in the mentoring program and is a committee member for the annual fundraising event Bowl for Kids Sake. “Presently I am happy to be a volunteer with Liberty For Youth as a volunteer coordinator. Kate Guther
Event Assistant
Kate was born in Hamilton. She graduated from Ancaster High School and is currently in the process of continuing her education.
Community: In grade 10, Kate attended a youth group in Oakville at The Meeting House. It was during these years she began to volunteer her time to their events. She photographs the Today’s Teens Conference, and in March 2008 went with a team of approximately 25 people to do missions in Ecuador. In those 2 weeks the team serviced in the village of Paquisha, painting their church, clearing land, and doing children’s ministry with the kids of the village. Kate chronicled the mission’s trip with photography.
Passion: It was in the very beginning of high school where Kate began to befriend youth her age and even older who were troubled. She could see the effects that it had on them and wanted to show them that they were cared for and loved. Because of those experiences she was motivated to volunteer for Liberty For Youth. Her role as an Event Assistant is to promote/market upcoming events proceed and with administrative work. Kate says, “It is through the activities and events of Liberty For Youth young people see that they are loved and cared for. I welcome your comments and/or suggestions! Stewart Cameron
Fundraising Assistant
Stewart was born in Hamilton, Ontario. Growing up Stewart had an unstable family environment and a mother who passed away when he was young. He was kicked out when he was 13 years of age and have seen and been through it all. He was homeless and ended up in a youth detention centre. He met Frederick Dryden and started the Liberty For Youth program. Through Liberty he received a scholarship for the Believer’s Anointing Bible College and is studying full-time. He also volunteers for Liberty telling his story of change and as the fundraising assistant. Stewart’s passion and boldness for others to break away from their negative situations give him the energy to fundraise for Liberty For Youth.

Colette Anderson
Tutoring and Mentorship Facilitator
Colette was born in Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in 1991 making Hamilton her home since. She graduated Mohawk College in the Insurance Program and is currently continuing part-time studies at McMaster University in the Accounting Program. After finishing her studies at McMaster, she plans to pursue a professional designation as a Certified General Accountant.
Colette has tutored grade ten students in Math at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. She has been a member of Hamilton Deliverance Church since 2003 where she has served as the youth president and Sunday school teacher. She believes we have a mandate to serve others, which she plans to accomplish at Liberty for Youth.
Colette hopes to apply her passion for learning to help the girls in the mentoring/tutoring program at Liberty. She hopes to assist the students with homework and convey the importance of post-secondary education. She also wants to build a trusting relationship with the students and help them with the issues they are facing in their everyday lives.
