RE: Liberty for Youth, Mr. Frederick Dryden
A few years ago, we felt discouraged and helpless for our son had lost his interest in school, had been spending time with negative influences and was on a path for destruction. It was a Monday night, when we received a call from the Police. Our son was now incarcerated, and we did not know where to turn.
After two months in prison our son told us about Frederick Dryden from Liberty for Youth. Frederick reached out to our son and positively influenced him through one-on-one mentoring sessions first in the prison and later in a group home. Frederick traveled once a week from Toronto to Kitchener for our son, and for encouragement.
After eight months of custody our son was released, however Frederick continued his mentorship providing resources for therapeutic programs, encouraging him to return to school and advocating for our son at his probation and court hearing.
Our son is currently maintaining an 85 % average in school and has applied for College to achieve his dreams. Our son has made such a drastic turn around through the support of Liberty for Youth. Frederick has a passion for the young people and has demonstrated this through founding Liberty for Youth and helping our son, he believed in our son when others gave up hope.
Sincerely,
