On Saturday, August 17th, we held our 14th Annual Eagle Ride Motorcycle Event! This year we had an amazing turnout with 64 participants. MP Dan Muys opened the event with an inspiring message to our riders.
Our youth participant, Karl shared his success stories about how his involvement in Liberty For Youth’s programming has positively impacted his future.
“When I began my first year of high school, I tried out for the grade 9 basketball team and didn’t make the cut. This was a huge disappointment for me. I ended up struggling with bad habits (such as smoking, vaping, and skipping school) and realized I needed to change. Frederick came to my school and they designed an attendance contract which encouraged me to attend all of my classes, for me to join Liberty For Youth’s Prodigal Sonz basketball team. With Liberty For Youth’s help, I worked hard to improve my skills and grades and made the grade 10 Jr. Basketball team. We did well and made it to the city finals.”
